Fairytale summer camps

This year, you can choose between two types of camps – in addition to our already traditional Fairytale Camps, we have also introduced the Young Animal Caretaker camp.

Fairytale Summer Camps 2026

Summer is coming… and at Pravljica we have prepared something truly special.

A camp where children don’t just observe nature – they live it with all their senses.

5 days. 24 hours a day in nature. Animals, fire, skills, play, and adventure.

Our Fairytale Summer Camps are different – authentic, safe, educational, and unforgettable.

For children aged 7 to 12 who want more than screens and concrete.

We will be surrounded by a variety of rescued animals – horses, cows, goats, pigs, sheep, chickens, ducks, cats, dogs, and other friends from nature.

WHAT DO WE EXPERIENCE TOGETHER?

We learn to care for animals with gentleness and responsibility
We sleep in a hayloft or under the stars
We make our own torches and go on a night adventure
We craft our own bow or hiking stick
We build hideouts and explore the forest
We swim and play water games
We gather what nature offers
We sit by the fire and tell stories
We bake pizza, bread, and make ice cream
We create with natural materials
We learn cooperation, trust, and friendship
We have time for real, free play in nature
And every day brings something new – what it is will be a surprise.

Healthy, local, seasonal vegetarian food (5 meals per day)

We can accommodate mild forms of allergies, but in more severe cases and with environmental factors (insect stings, hay, pollen, animal fur, etc.), we cannot ensure sufficient safety.

PRICE: 320 € / child (5 days)

SIBLINGS: 300 €

–10% for early registration (at least 4 weeks in advance)

OPTION FOR DAY ATTENDANCE
No overnight stay – arrival in the morning, departure in the afternoon €280 / child (in this case discounts do not apply)

Summer Camp 2026 – Young Animal Caretaker

This is not just a camp. This is an experience that stays with children forever.

For children aged 10–14 who feel a special connection with animals.

When: 29. 6. – 3. 7. 2026

Why is this camp different?

Because children don’t “watch animals” — they become their caretakers.

Every day:

real work with animals (feeding, care, cleaning, arranging spaces and enclosures, observation)
learning to understand their behaviour
building trust and gentle interaction
communication techniques

This is a place where children develop:

empathy
responsibility
self-confidence
a sense of purpose
practical skills for life

What will they experience?

Caring for horses, cows, pigs, goats, dogs, cats, poultry, rabbits, and other animals
Creating toys and enrichment activities for animals
Assessing conditions and the need for professional animal care
Sleeping in hay in a magical hayloft
Swimming and outdoor games
Evenings by the fire, with stories, laughter, and also meaningful conversations

At the end they receive a certificate:

“Fairytale Animal Caretaker”

(pride they take home with them)

Summer Fairy Tale Camps

During the summer holidays, our beloved summer fairy tale camps take place. Natural, authentic, educational, and unforgettable camps for children aged 7 to 14. Together, we spend 5 beautiful, educational, active days in unspoiled, pristine nature and 24 hours a day in the fresh air. More than 50 rescued animals (horses, cows, bulls, goats, pigs, donkeys, geese, chickens, kittens, dogs, turtles, etc.) are waiting to show their colorful world to the children.

What will we be able to do?

● Together, we will learn responsibility, care, feeding, and respectful treatment of animals,
● Sleep in the hayloft,
● Make our own torches and go on a night excursion with them,
● Rediscover old games and skills,
● Craft our own bows,
● Gather what nature provides,
● Garden,
● Swim,
● Build natural hideouts,
● Create our own scout flag,
● Socialize around the campfire,
● Share stories and read fairy tales,
● Make our favorite ice cream, pizza, and bread,
● Create giant soap bubbles,
● Craft with natural materials, paint pebbles and pinecones,
● Learn many new skills,
● Listen to each other and learn teamwork,
● Have plenty of time for free and spontaneous play in the forest and meadow, and
● There are many surprises waiting for us.

Throughout the entire camp, we will also get to know English through games, and if there is enough interest, German as well. The food is healthy, local, seasonal, and vegan. We will have five meals a day. Modern sanitary facilities and indoor spaces are available in case of bad weather.

PRICE

The price of the five-day camp is €300 per child. For each subsequent child from the same family, a 5% discount per child. For early applications and payment of the full amount up to 1 month before the start of the camp you get a 10% discount. It is possible to pay in installments, but the last installment must be settled no later than 1 week before the start of the camp (if you want to claim the 10% discount for early registration, the last installment must be paid 1 month before the start of the camp).

Your reservation is confirmed by paying an advance payment of 50 €.

The camp is held with at least 10 registered children. There will be a maximum of 15 children in the group. We accept applications up to 7 days before the start of the camp. * Participation in the camp is also possible without overnight stays. You can bring your child in the morning and pick them up in the late afternoon. In this case, the cost is 260 euros per child.

“Sin je rekel, da je bil to NAJBOLJŠI TABOR do sedaj.

Gozdna igralnica, vožnja s prikolico, kopanje v jezeru, igre ob ognju, piknik v gozdu, zip-line nad senikom, lov na kokice in zaklad, spanje na seniku, izdelava lokov, pohodnih palic, katapulta, velikih milnih mehurčkov, učenje borilnih veščin, pohod z baklami.
