Fostering is intended to create a bond with one or more animals of the sanctuary and the feeling of being a part of their life, even from afar. With your monthly donation, you help in purchasing food, maintenance, and veterinary costs, and keep track of their life in the sanctuary.
Occasionally, we send you news about the animal you foster, so you can share in its life of freedom. In these updates, you will learn more about the individual animal, its behavior, personality, favorite food, which other animal it likes to spend time with, and many different adventures and stories from its life.
On our website and Facebook page, you can follow news about guided tours through the fairytale land, and then join us. You can bring some treats, take pictures with the animal, pet it if you wish, and get to know it better. It’s a wonderful feeling to know that you are enabling a sentient being to live freely, and it becomes a part of your life and happiness.
Children can also be animal fosters. For them, it can be a special experience, especially for those children who don’t have the opportunity to have pets at home. Generally, children love animals and want to be near them. Children who grow up with animals have numerous advantages over those who do not. We don’t need to list the numerous studies showing this advantage; we can tell you from personal experience. In caring for animals, children not only learn responsibility but also develop greater self-confidence and social skills. They learn to care for others, show more empathy, and understand that animals are sentient beings – sometimes in good and sometimes in bad moods, just like humans. Animals are great teachers to children and help adults in personal development and in developing non-verbal communication. And the list goes on…
So don’t hesitate and decide to be a friend to one of the animals living in the fairytale sanctuary.
When you decide which animal you would like to foster, please write to us on FB via private message or send an email to info@vpravljici.si. Let us know the name of the animal and for how long you will be its foster. Using the form provided below, fill in all the details and make your first transfer.
Alternatively, you can transfer to the account: SI56 6100 0001 9978 855, Društvo Pravljica, Pleše 11, 1291 Škofljica, with the purpose: Foster and the name of the animal, or to PayPal: vpravljici@gmail.com, with the purpose: Fosterand the name of the animal.
A minimum of 6 months sponsorship is desirable, as it makes it easier for us to manage and allocate the funds that are essential for the care of the animals. The minimum amount is 5 EUR per month, with no maximum limit. 
After we receive your transfer, you will soon receive a message about your animal, with a picture and a short description.

You will receive an email once every three months with a picture of the animal and a short update from its life. Visiting the animal is possible when we have public guided tours in the fairytale land. After the tour, if you wish, you can visit your animal, take photos with it, brush it, and get to know it better. The visit lasts 30 minutes.

You will receive an email once every two months with a picture of the animal and a short update from its life. Visiting the animal is possible when we have public guided tours in the fairytale land or by arrangement. You can take photos with the animal, brush it, feed it, bond with it, and get to know it better. The visit lasts 45 minutes.
Where the minimum monthly transfer is 50 EUR.
You will receive an email once a month with a picture of the animal and a short update from its life. Visiting the animal is possible when we have public guided tours in the fairytale land or by arrangement. You can take photos with the animal, brush it, feed it, bond with it, and get to know it better. The visit lasts 1 hour, during which we also take the time to answer any questions you may have. Upon your first transfer, we will send you a small surprise. 😊
If you become an animal sponsor for at least 6 months, we will send you a small gift as a token of our gratitude after six months. 😊
All animals are presented under the ‘animals’ tab.
An animal can have multiple sponsors, as this allows us to distribute financial resources among animals that do not have sponsors and cover unexpected expenses. Sponsorship will greatly help us to get through the month and cover all the costs involved in caring for 80 animals.
You can cancel your sponsorship at any time by sending a message to the email: info@vpravljici.si, simply stating that you wish to cancel the sponsorship. If you like, you can write a review explaining why you want to cancel the sponsorship, so we can understand how we can further improve our mission that we want to share with you.
